Our staff will collect your insurance details and schedule your first appointment. We will check your weight loss surgery benefits. We recommend you also contact your insurance provider to confirm your bariatric coverage.
During your first appointment, you will meet with our surgeon and dietitian. We will also schedule your pre-operative tests. Once we have your test results and medical records, your surgeon will review them to clear you for surgery.
Our surgery scheduler will then contact you to arrange your pre-operative appointment, surgery date and post-operative follow-up. At that time, all information will go to your insurance provider for final approval. If you want to check the status of your authorization, call the member services number on your insurance card. Our office will contact you if any issues happen during the approval process.
We understand you have work and family responsibilities. We try to group your appointments to save you time. Call our office if you have questions during the evaluation process. We are here to help.
