Envy and Ollie have been incredible companions to my son and I who experienced the loss of my husband more than three years ago. Having them in our life was a way to continue to push ourselves to get up, go for walks and manage our grief. In addition to helping us, they come to St. Elizabeth Hospital with me and volunteers take them to see the patients and staff. Just when I start to think that it is inconvenient to bring them to work, someone stops me and tells me how much it meant to them to have the dogs here at work, or I hear a touching story of them with a patient who needed their love and support.

Gunner helps improve my well-being and reduces stress by making sure we get lots of walks outside in nature each day. His goofy antics constantly make me laugh, and his sweet spirit brings me joy. To meet Gunner is to love Gunner!

Miki is so cute and funny without any effort. Whether we find her in hilarious sleeping positions or simply by existing, she’s always a positive in my day.

Bento’s primary requirement is love, he’s so cute and it’s easy to give. He is stubborn but unconditional when it comes to loving us. He brings smiles, companionship and meaning to our lives.

Doberdork is my remote co-worker. He is my sounding board, mouse inspector, collector of loose wiring or cords. He takes long naps to create white noise for my calmness (snores). He pops up to say “hi” on Zoom calls. He reminds me he needs his lunch, so I get up and walk around. When I am stressed, I pet him and he says come play. Doberdork is stress relief in a 97-pound silver blur.

Kane is my almost three-year-old French bulldog. I have always been ashamed to admit that I have anxiety and depression because I always believed that made me crazy. But in reality, it made me human, and almost three years ago when I first received Kane as a puppy that changed everything for me. Kane brings so much joy and happiness to me and to everyone around him.

Koda is the happiest pup. After a tough day at work, I am so thankful to come home to him as he brings so much joy to our family and can brighten anyone’s mood.
Texas Division

Daisey and Oliver get me outside and moving! Since they are still puppies, there is a lot of yard to clean up and a lot of energy to use up between the end of the work day and bedtime. As they are learning to walk on the leash, we are taking walks together, too.
