Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month
Virtual Background and Resources Available

During LGBTQ+ Pride Month, we take time to celebrate our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer colleagues, patients and people in the communities we serve. We celebrate each person's gifts and voice, and respect the dignity of all. 

Learn more about LGBTQ+ Pride Month and recognize the contributions of members within this community and throughout our health care ministry:

• During the month of June in Insights, the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging will highlight Profiles in Leadership as well as health equity focus areas throughout the LGBTQ+ community. 
• View our informative fact sheet for key stats about LGBTQ+ populations, helpful vocabulary and background on LGBTQ+ health disparities.
• Explore the National Archives and Records Administration’s collections for a rich documentary history of the experience of LGBTQ+ individuals in the U.S.
• We have created a Zoom virtual background to commemorate the month that can be easily added — no download needed. Simply open Zoom, select the settings gear in the upper right corner and select Background and Filters. There you will find virtual backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ Pride Month background. (Note: You may need to reboot your computer to see the latest virtual background additions. Instructions are also available to load the background manually.)
